Huntington's cases have a geography. Wrecks on I-64, US-60, and Route 2; pileups where 5th Street Hill meets winter; collisions around the Marshall University campus and the hospital corridor near St. Mary's Medical Center and Cabell Huntington Hospital. Injury claims here get worked up against that backdrop, and it helps when your lawyer drives the same roads.
It also helps when your lawyer knows the buildings. Injury and wrongful death suits are filed in the Cabell County Circuit Court; civil rights cases under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 are typically filed in the federal courthouse downtown, in the Huntington division of the Southern District of West Virginia. Criminal cases run through Cabell County's magistrate and circuit courts. We work in all of them.
Huntington is also a city that has carried more than its share — and that's reflected in our civil rights practice. Claims involving police misconduct and jail conditions, including at the regional jail level, are a core part of what this firm does.

Do you only take Huntington cases?
No. We serve all of western West Virginia and southern Ohio. But Huntington is home base, and most of our cases run through Cabell County's courts or the federal courthouse here.
What does a consultation cost?
Nothing. Injury and civil rights cases are contingency — no fee unless we win. Criminal defense fees are quoted up front in writing.
